What does 'Remember Me' mean?

When you check the box 'Remember me', CIBC FirstCaribbean will remember your User ID (bank card number) each time you access the Internet Banking log-on page. This is done through the use of a cookie. Cookies allow us to recognize your computer by storing information in your web browser. Via the cookie, your User Id is retrieved and will automatically appear on the Log-on page each time the page is accessed, however, you will always be required to enter your password each time you log-on. CIBC FirstCaribbean will never store your Internet Banking password. 'Remember me' is ideal if you are the sole user of your computer. For your safety, if you use a shared computer to log-on to Internet Banking do not check the 'Remember Me' box. If you do not want to accept the cookie your card number will not be stored and each time you log-on you will be asked to type in your User Id.
